Florence told with photographs by Candida Hofer

Medici Riccardi building inaugurates on Dicembre 11, the photographic exhibition of the german artist Candida Hofer, Who wonted to immortalize some place of the city of Florence.
Twenty photographs depicting the empty spaces in which man is absent, but can still to feel his presence. The monumental pictures depict the most beautiful places in Florence and want to understand the intimate nature of this city, marked by unique places.The environments of the Museo di San Marco, the Uffizi and their library, the Teatro della Pergola, Palazzo Pitti , Palazzo Corsini, the Villa di Poggio a Caiano, libraries and Marucelliana Riccardiana, the Academy with a glimpse of Michelangelo's David, Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Medici Riccardi.The places chosen express the view that the photograph is of Florence and the photos are not retouched digitally, are portraits of real and timely Tuscan capital.
