Osteria GodòPiazza Edison 3/4r - 50100 Firenze
It’s a typical old-fashioned Florentine “osteria”, with a great bar in marble and wood that recalls the old drugstores of Tuscany. The warm colors and lights create a charming atmosphere.
Ham with “coccoli” (little pieces of fried pasta) and pickled herrings, it’s a good example of the appetizers of Godò, then there are the first courses with soups or “home made” pasta. Among the second courses, there are traditional dishes (almost forgotten) such as the “farmyard fried”, or the “Granma’s fried cutlet”, or the filet or the entrecote. Without forgetting the sea food: carpaccio of dried code marinated in juniper, or the home prepared salmon, the filets of bass or the small fishes “cooked in your own way”. And obviously the sweets and cakes such as the “uncooked cheesecake” – from a home receipt and many others.
Godò is open from 8 am for breakfast and on without closing for lunch (either for a quick meal or a “slow food” lunch) and dinner. Seven days a week!
Good location for parking, Or bus number 7 coming from the central station of S.M. Novella.
