This 500 hectare 17th century estate is only 20 km. from Florence and has always belonged to the same noble Florentine family. The scenery recalls the set of the film 'La Notte di San Lorenzo' by the Taviani brothers, filmed in the vineyards, wheat fields and olive groves of the estate.

The owner, Mrs. Gioconda, welcomes guests and shows them round the estate. This includes the 16th century manor house, still inhabited by the owners; the 'fattoria' or farm where are situated two of the guest apartments, 'I Pini' and 'La Spiga'.

In the typical cellar you can buy the extra virgin olive oil and wine produced on the estate. The other apartments 'Le Rose', 'La CAptellina' etc… are situated inside the small stone-built hamlet , 600 m. away, with the local restaurant, (not run by the estate owners) , where guests can savour the delicious culinary specialities of the area.

Guest facilities include a delightful swimming pool in front of the villa ( 7 X 14 - open May-September).
